This project was inspired by the Art Deco art movement that opened the 20th century, and utilizing modern 21st century technology instilled with a uniquely Eastern aesthetic sensibility, the first masterpiece that represents a new 21st century Oriental artistic philosophy was born.
The main mass of the office tower is clad in granite and glass, being both simultaneously protective and transparent; the simple and elegant design reflects the client’s magnanimous, generous and modest nature; the design of the building crown expresses the corporation’s image of “Tradition and High-Tech”, “Classical and State-of the-Art” and functions as a lighthouse illuminating Taipei’s Xinyi District; the fullness of the curved profile embodies the highest aesthetic ideal of Oriental art.
The plan of the office floor is rectilinear and allows light in from all sides with column-free wrap around corner windows on all sides; the office space itself is column-free with depths of no more than 15 meters to allow natural light to flood in; a raised floor of 10 cm in the office floors allows for maximum planning flexibility.
